Danny Mendlow is a versatile young man who has quickly established himself in the world of Canadian Entertainment.  He is an award winning, professionally trained and highly sought after screenwriter; internationally recognized songwriter; accomplished film and comedy director/actor/producer; as well as a daring and innovative stand-up comedian.  He is also an experienced, professional advertising copywriter with extensive experience on massive political and special interest advertising campaigns (so big, that's all he can tell you!)  Danny can pretty much write anything and is also a reliable proof-reader and editor.

With a diploma in Writing for Film and Television from Vancouver Film School, Danny became the first and only graduate of the prestigious VFS writing program to ever win a festival award for a short film produced within the program. ("Best Screenplay" - National Screen Institute for Nosepickers Anonymous... also won "Best Actor" and was nominated for "Best Film" and "Best Director")

Danny has used the internet to get his work seen by millions of people, and has had his comedy videos featured on every one of the webs most popular comedy websites, including many times being chosen by the staff and users of Will Ferrel's Funnyordie.com to be featured on the front page.  He's even had one of his sketches voted "Today's Big Thing - The hottest thing on the internet" by comedy mega-site Collegehumor.com.

Danny is heavily involved with two of Canada's most ambitious online comedy projects:

• The Founder and Executive Producer of the uncensored comedy network WWW.TOOFAR.TV  - A one of a kind forum showcasing the best in uncensored, edgy, socially critical and politically charged sketch comedy, music videos, original shows and, of course, the best source of Uncensored Canadian Stand-Up Comedy on the web, featuring some of Funny Business Inc.'s top headliners. 


• Writer and Voice Actor for the highly ambitious WWW.JFCSHOW.COM - an online, animated satire which is currently being considered by The FOX Network!  Danny plays the character of Jesus Christ, returning to live in the modern world, as well as being the head writer for the series.

Some of Danny's past achievements include being one of three finalists in The Canadian Comedy Awards "Great Impressions" Contest for one of his cult classic Arnold Schwarzennegger hip-hop parodies.  He was also the Head Writer and Associate Producer of Keep Your Head Up Productions where he directed a team of writers in producing material for a weekly stage show as well as video screenings.  He was a prominent actor in their cutting-edge sketch group KYHU.  He was a semi-finalist in the International Songwriting Competition with prestigious judges like Tom Waites.  He has produced and directed many music videos.  He has been to the finals and semi-finals of many stand-up comedy competitions.

Danny's comedic songs and skits have been played on the radio all over Western Canada, and he even has regular song play in Australia thanks to DJ Justin Prime.

The stand-up comedy of Danny Mendlow is constantly evolving, and there is no topic he is afraid to take on.  In fact, those that most avoid he delights in tackling.  With an objective eye, Mendlow probes the human condition looking for inequities and shortcomings, then he turns that same critical eye on himself and the audience so as to remind us that we're all part of the problem.  He pulls no punches, swears like a sailor and you probably shouldn't book him for children's parties.  A keen student of comedy, Danny knows how to get the people laughing, and he knows it starts with being brutally honest.  Danny firmly believes there is nothing funnier than the uncensored, unrelenting truth.
